N83LL is a "state of the art" 2006 Cessna Model T turbo with the Nav III avionics package. As such, she has a complete Garmin G1000 panel with stormscope, NXrad XM radar and weather, Jepp Charts and Safe Taxi. With 235 hp, heated prop and built in-oxygen, she climbs fast and covers the ground to get a good value for the fuel burn.
With a useful load of 1000 lbs and 87 gal usable (always check POH and do a weight and balance), N83LL is ideal for cross countries or, with the power pulled back, loitering in the high country. Cruising at 12,500 ft and above (20,000 ft service ceiling) look for 150 knots plus with a fuel burn of a little over 15 gph.
N83LL is not only a real flying machine but she is also beautiful with maroon metallic striping over white and a beige leather interior. The TIO-540 runs at 235 hp through the turbo, so she is also remarkably quiet. Other safety features (beyond the stormscope and NXrad XM radar and weather) include the "Amsafe" seat belt air bags, electronic engine monitoring, and a mode "S" traffic information system (TIS). Did we forget, she also has XM stereo radio.
