Background:
Mark is a full-time faculty member of Chaparral High School where he shares his passion in flying, technology and science.  He started flying in 1980 while at the "boat school" in Annapolis.  Since then he has flown 18 different types of aircraft in the New England, Mid-Atlantic, Southeast, and Mountain states.  His favorite airplane has been the Piper Cub, flying "low and slow with the window down".
Teaching Philosophy: "Teaching comes naturally to people who are life-long learners, always curious about the world around them.  What you know is not as important as what you do with it.  As a dedicated teacher and aviator, I share my love of flying in a manner that instills confidence and professionalism in all of my students.  While it is ultimately up to individual students to get the most from my instruction, it is my responsibility to provide all my students a safe and enjoyable opportunity to grow into the best aviators they can become."

"There are old pilots, and there are bold pilots, but there are no old, bold pilots."
