The Companion Flyer Course...
For Non - Pilot Companions

Have you ever worried what you would do in case the pilot of the aircraft were incapacitated? The Companion Flyer Course is a one day class designed to reduce the fears of the non-pilot "companion" through a hands-on course that covers basic aerodynamics, navigation and use of charts, radio procedures and phraseology, basic instrument interpretation and emergency procedures.  The course is designed to make you feel more comfortable in the aircraft and make your flying experience more fun and enjoyable.

The Companion Flyer Course is sponsored by the Colorado 99’s. The Ninety-Nines, Inc. is an international organization of more than 6,500 licensed women pilots from over 35 countries. The 99’s were organized on November 2, 1929 with Amelia Earhart elected as the first President. The group takes it name from the "99" original charter members. The purpose of the 99’s is to engage in education, and charitable and scientific activities which promote aviation and aeronautical science and to preserve the unique history of women in aviation.
