Andy has had a passion for aviation and aerospace all of his life. His first flight in a small aircraft was at age 14. While in college, he earned his private pilot certificate and instrument rating, and completed an internship with an aircraft maintenance company. Upon graduation, he began his career as a System Safety and Mission Integration Engineer for a company that designs, manufactures, and launches rockets that carry satellites into space. Realizing he still wanted to fly, Andy changed careers and completed his commercial pilot and flight instructor certificates. Andy specializes in aviation safety, has been trained by the NTSB, and has traveled internationally to attend aviation safety conferences and seminars. Andy’s favorite part of being an instructor is sharing his passion, and watching a student’s face light up when they fly for the first time.
