Blake became a flight instructor in hopes that he can help others achieve their dreams within aviation. It’s safe to say that anyone who knows Blake can tell you how passionate he is about aviation. He started flying in 2009, at the young age of 13, and quickly soloed in a glider on his 14th birthday, years before he could even drive a car! Inspired by his father, and grandfather’s careers’ at United Airlines, Blake is also a professional airline pilot who flies as a CRJ First Officer for SkyWest Airlines. Blake also brings with him a background in flight training from working as an intern with United Airline’s 777 & 747 fleet training programs. In college, Blake was a member of the MSU Denver Precision Flight Team, and helped them compete in multiple regional, and national competitions. He also enjoys skiing and snowboarding, and flying his family’s Mooney M20F.
“Flying is unlike any other experience you’ve ever had, it is truly beyond description. The incredible freedom, paralleled by the awesome responsibility we have as pilots, is a very rewarding experience. For me personally, I find that giving back, and helping aspiring pilots achieve their dreams in the air, is one of my greatest passions. There’s nothing better than seeing the smile on the face of a someone who is learning how to fly!
