In N5306U, the Lynx receiver is paired with an iPad Mini that is mounted in the cockpit provided to improve your situational awareness. The Garmin G5, paired with the GNS 430W, is approved as a primary source to display vertical and lateral GPS/VOR/LOC course deviation, as well as ground speed and distance to the next waypoint. It has a built in 4-hour backup battery for added redundancy and safety.

What is a Lynx? Imagine purchasing a Mode S Transponder, traffic system, MFD, GPS/WAAS and datalink weather system for your cockpit. That is the Lynx. You get ADS-B traffic, a mode S extended squitter transponder with a compliant GPS/WAAS position source. NEXRAD graphical and textual weather as well as moving maps. Up to the minute NOTAMS, TFRs and Temps and Winds Aloft Data are also included.
